Pool Workouts
Aquatic training is no longer your grandmother’s water aerobics class!
"Aquatics is not for sissies. Oh sure, there's a lot of splashing and laughing--but then, as our bodies warm to the workout, we all become quiet, focusing on the enhanced strength training being in the water allows. I particularly appreciate the toning and stretching--a good complement to Spin class. And those flapping, flabby underarms? Aquatics is the surefire cure!" Jill Lieberg - Temecula |
It has evolved into a challenging, comprehensive fitness program, encompassing all
aspects of physical fitness: muscular strength and endurance, aerobic training, and flexibility.
Why Work Out in Water?
Each movement performed in the water is against resistance – many times the resistance of air - which strengthens muscles and burns calories. One hour of training in the water can burn 400-500 calories, so it provides serious training, yet is easy on the joints.
"The intervals were hard and got my heart rate up.
But I felt refreshed after - full of energy" ~ Nancy
